January issue is out and new trends are top of mind..here’s3 of of my favs…so here we go..

1. The Fiddle Leaf Fig
This guys been hanging around design Mags. for a while but remain fairly elusive in stores and nurseries. Now that she’s a top trend perhaps we’ll see more of her.
I must say I’m glad to see a little more green coming indoors.

2. Confident Colour
Neutral rooms with pops of colour are making a bold statement in 2012 and I must say I’m looking forward to a little more colour in our spaces. I do like the the current industrial look in greys and browns, That look is really all about texture and certainly influenced by the economy but it’s time for a change..don’t you think?
3. Sky High Subway Tiles
Not only a trend but a true classic, subway tiles rule and rock! I’m soo happy to see this for a few reasons but mostly because it’s a design element I’ve used before and
am using in a current kitchen project. I'll be sure to post the pics when the project is completed.
